Apple has officially discontinued the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max from its online store. The move comes just after Apple unveiled their iPhone 18 Pro successors.
iPhone 17 Pro lineup officially exits Apple Store
Apple has now discontinued both Pro models following their one-year run. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max debuted in September 2025 with Apple’s A19 Pro chipset. Both phones featured triple rear cameras with 48MP sensors across the setup. The telephoto camera offered 4x optical zoom and up to 8x optical-quality zoom.
The lineup also introduced an 18MP Center Stage front camera. Apple moved away from titanium and introduced an aluminum unibody design with a vapor chamber. The iPhone 17 Pro featured a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max came with a 6.9-inch panel. Pricing started at $1,099 for the Pro and $1,199 for the Pro Max.
Apple now pushes its new Pro models
With the older models gone, Apple’s Pro lineup now centers around the iPhone 18 Pro series. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, while the Pro Max starts at $1,299. Interestingly, Apple now offers up to 2TB storage on the smaller iPhone 18 Pro. The company also unveiled its first foldable iPhone, iPhone Duo, starting at $1,999.
This shouldn’t come as surprise to you if you are an Apple fan. The company usually discontinues its previous Pro models after launching their replacements. Not to forget, Apple has also increased prices for several other iPhone models. The affected phones include the iPhone 16, iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17e.
