Xiaomi has just launched the Xiaomi 18 Fold with flagship hardware built around two 120Hz displays. The timing is interesting, with Apple’s long-rumored first foldable iPhone (possible moniker “iPhone Duo”) is reportedly set to launch tomorrow.
Xiaomi 18 Fold goes big on hardware
The Xiaomi 18 Fold has a 5.3-inch outer display and a 7.58-inch internal AMOLED panel. Both screens support 120Hz refresh rates and reach up to 4,000 nits. Xiaomi also uses Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0 outside. A new Dragon Bone hinge carries IP58 and IP59 certification.

Underneath, Xiaomi has packed the new 3nm Xring O3 processor. The chip uses a 10-core all-big-core CPU, alongside a 16-core GPU. There is also a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery inside. Xiaomi claims around 1.43 days of inner-screen use under its testing.
As far as charging is concerned, the Xiaomi 18 Fold comes with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging support. Storage configurations jump all the way to 1TB.
200MP Leica camera leads the photography setup
The main camera of the Xiaomi 18 Fold uses a 200MP Leica sensor with optical image stabilization. A 50MP Leica periscope camera handles longer-range shots. It offers 3.5x optical zoom and up to 7x optical-quality zoom. The setup also includes a 50MP Leica ultrawide camera.
On the software front, the foldable smartphone runs the company’s in-house HyperOS 4. Xiaomi says its split-screen system can handle six apps simultaneously.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold comes in four finishes, including Black, Warm Gold-White and Cabernet Red. A Ceramic Special Edition uses Pale Pink Glaze.
Speaking of pricing, the Xiaomi 18 Fold starts at ¥10,999, roughly $1,640, for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 12GB/512GB version costs ¥11,999. Meanwhile, the 16GB/512GB model will set you back by ¥12,999. The top-tier model, with 16GB LPDDR6 and 1TB storage costs ¥14,999.
As of now, Xiaomi has announced the phone for China. A global release has not been confirmed.
