HONOR has officially taken the wraps off its latest clamshell foldable, the Magic V Flip 2, and it’s already looking like a major rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7. The phone brings bold upgrades in two areas that matter most to flip users, the camera and battery. Here’s everything you need to know.
Display and design details
The phone features a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED internal display with 120Hz refresh rate and 5000 nits peak brightness. The 4-inch cover screen hits 3600 nits, making outdoor visibility effortless. In terms of build, the device measures 6.9mm unfolded and 15.5mm folded, with an IP58/59 rating. You can pick between Purple, White, and Gray finishes.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside
HONOR is reusing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip from 2023. While not the newest processor, it still delivers competitive performance against Samsung’s latest. Not to forget, the phone runs on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0, bringing AI-powered features such as Circle to Search and AI Live Translation.
Camera battle with Galaxy Z Flip 7
The Magic V Flip 2 boasts a dual rear setup, a 200MP primary lens paired with a 50MP ultrawide. On the front, HONOR has fitted a 50MP selfie shooter, ensuring crisp portraits and detailed shots. In comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers a 50MP main + 12MP ultrawide combo, with just a 10MP selfie camera. Motorola’s Razr 60 Ultra and even Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold lag behind HONOR’s new foldable in the camera department.
A foldable with the biggest battery yet
If the camera wasn’t enough, HONOR pushed limits on power too. The Magic V Flip 2 ships with a 5500mAh battery, making it the largest pack ever in a flip device. It supports 80W wired charging, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse charging using HONOR’s original adapters.

HONOR also announced a Jimmy Choo Limited Edition, featuring a shimmering crystal-like design in deep blue. This premium model comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
