Samsung has finally taken the wraps off the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra during Galaxy Unpacked in London, the company’s latest clamshell foldable arrives with a larger FlexWindow, improved cameras, Galaxy AI enhancements, and a slimmer design aimed at making everyday interactions even more convenient.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Specs: Display, Camera, Processor, Battery, and More
Samsung says the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is its slimmest and lightest Flip phone yet, measuring just 6.1mm when unfolded and weighing only 180 grams. The device features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display alongside a redesigned 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow, which now surfaces more apps, AI features, and personalized information without needing to unfold the phone.
The upgraded FlexWindow also brings new Galaxy AI experiences, including Now Brief for glanceable updates, Gemini Intelligence for completing tasks using natural voice commands, and easier app automation directly from the cover screen. Samsung says these features are designed to reduce the number of steps needed to complete everyday actions while making the Flip form factor more useful throughout the day.
On the camera side, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 comes equipped with a 50MP primary camera paired with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. Samsung has also improved its Flip-exclusive camera experience with Flex Mode, FlipShot, Mirror View, Super Steady video, and ProVisual Engine, making it easier to capture selfies and videos from different angles without extra accessories. Powering the device is Samsung’s new Exynos 2600 processor, backed by a 4,300mAh battery, up to 512GB of storage, Android 17, and One UI 9.
