Realme is set to launch its next flagship, the Realme GT 8, later this year. Interestingly, it may share more than just a launch window with the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6. Both Android smartphones are rumored to debut in October, with fresh leaks emerging from China hints that both Android smartphones could pack some of the largest batteries ever offered by either brand.
Fresh leak hints at monster batteries for OnePlus Ace 6 & Realme GT 8
According to a post on Weibo by popular Chinese tipster, Smart Pikachu, both the Realme GT 8 and OnePlus Ace 6 are rumored to house battery capacity of around 8,000mAh.
If the tipped details are true, it puts them in direct competition with the Honor Power, which is the first mainstream phone to ship with the same massive capacity earlier this year.
As for the launch, there are no official details whatsoever. But going by the leaks, October launch is on the cards. Both devices could be revealed around the same time. If the launch details are accurate, Realme and OnePlus may be gearing up for a direct head-to-head clash.
Rumors about display and performance
The OnePlus Ace 6 is tipped to feature a 1.5K resolution display with a super-fast 165Hz refresh rate. It’s also expected to arrive alongside the much-anticipated OnePlus 15, which has already made headlines for its design revamp.
On the other hand, the Realme GT 8 is said to launch together with the GT 8 Pro, something that hasn’t happened often in recent Realme lineups. While exact display details for the GT 8 remain under wraps, its Pro sibling has already been spotted in leaks, suggesting Realme is aiming to push performance boundaries this year.
Speaking of Android flagships, HONOR recently unveiled the Magic V Flip 2, and even Google launched Android 16-powered Pixel 10 series at its Made by Google event held earlier this week. Not to forget, the full specs of OPPO’s upcoming Find X9 Pro has also been leaked.
